WOW! We are already 1/2 way through the 1st nine weeks. Everyone seems to be in the routine now. 6th grade has been working on all things multiplication and will most likely have a their 2nd test next Friday. 7th grade is working on exponents and square roots as well as order of operations and will be having a test on Thursday. Pre-Algebra is starting to work with solving expressions and one step equations.

Week 5
All classes have taken their first tests this week. Grades will be in by Monday.
6th grade will be starting a chapter on multiplication. We will be multiplying 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers. Please make sure they are working on their multiplication facts.
7th grade will be starting properties of numbers, exponents, square roots and order of operations.
7th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th grade Pre-Algebra will be starting properties of numbers and solving expressions when given the unknown variable.
Also, Fall Festival is coming up. The 7th grade basket is a Relaxation / Bath and Body Basket. Please start sending in items such as gift certificates for pedicures, manicures or even a massage. Other ideas include candles, bath salts, bath bombs, lotions, and essential oils. Lets make a great basket this year. All items need to be send in by October 15.

Week 4
Things are still going well. I have had a few students not turning in work. If your student is missing anything you most likely have received an email from me. Tests dates have changed a little. 7th grade Fundamentals had a test this week. 6th grade is moved to next Tuesday, September 17th. PreAlgebra, 7th and 8th grades, will have a test Wednesday the 16th or Thursday the 17th. I have enjoyed getting to know all of your children and look forward to a GREAT year.

Week 3
Hello. I hope all the students have gotten settled in. Everyone seems to be adjusting well. This week Pre-Algebra is continuing learning about integers. We have begun multiplying and dividing integers as well as applying integer rules in our order of operations.
7th grade is continuing with a math review and has continued with multiplication and division. We will start learning about Properties of Addition and Multiplication soon.
6th grade is getting ready to start decimal place and place value. They with also be adding and subtracting decimals.

Week 2
So this week we are up and running in math. Pre-Algebra is working on all things integers. This week we are comparing, adding, and subtracing. Next week we will begin multiplying and dividing integers.
Sixth and Seventh graders are reviewing place values, ordering and comparing numbers. Next week we will continue with some addition, subtraction, multiplication and division reviews.
I am enjoying your children and everyone is off to a great start this year. Don't forget to rest Monday as there is no school for Labor Day. Enjoy your long weekend.
